CIISA publishes details on its planned services
27th March 2025, London UK: Following the launch of its Standards back February, the Creative Industries Independent Standards Authority (CIISA) is today publishing information about the range of services it will put in place to support the creative industries to embed the Standards in practice, alongside how CIISA will monitor and benchmark how the creative industries is doing to improve and strengthen standards of behaviour at work.
CIISA has created a helpful summary called “CIISA’s Services”, a short guide which describes the entire range of support it will offer and which answers some of the frequently asked questions about how they will work. The Guide sets out CIISA’s plans to develop tailored Professional Standards guidance and training for creative industry sectors, alongside setting up a confidential reporting service to enable those working in the creative industries to report concerns to CIISA about their experiences, and enable CIISA to support these individuals, organisations, productions or projects with appropriate advice and signposting.
The Guide also describes CIISA’s plans to introduce services aimed at resolving concerns where possible and sets out how CIISA plans to introduce its support services via a ‘step-by-step’ approach: introducing each service step in sequence to ensure it meets requirements and demand before moving on to the next step – making sure that CIISA builds truly effective services.
CIISA has begun the next steps for developing sector-specific guidance and other support, whilst continuing with the design of its support services for proposed roll out in the 2025-26 Business Year. To do that, CIISA is carrying out user-led design work via initial research with potential users to help better understand what people would want to see from CIISA’s reporting service.
Andrew Medlock, CIISA’s Chief Operating Officer said, “Today marks a key milestone in CIISA’s journey. We are delighted to be publishing more details about what CIISA can look and feel like for those working in the creative industries: how they can interact with us, and where we can add value. We will continue to engage with those who may want to use our services, so they are truly user-led in design, and ensure they are built for maximum impact and value. We look forward to working with everybody across the creative industries to make that happen.”
